It seems like we're always in a hurry. Too much of a hurry to make time and space for the spiritual.
But that spiritual isn't an add-on to life. It's central to it. Take something as simple as washing your hands. How many times a day do you do it? That simple act could become a trigger for thinking of the spiritual. Your challenge for today is this: each time you wash your hands today, think of what your hands have done... who or what they have held... what they've touched. See where those thoughts take you.

Standing outside the Cathedral this morning after having just read your poster on the North Door I was approached by a gentleman who asked what this was all about. I proceeded to tell him about the daily challenges, the blog etc., and then he asked "so, this is nothing to do with swine flu then?" He was SERIOUS. I was in kinks!
ReplyDeleteThinking is good. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou really made me think a lot today, especially about who my hands have held. My Grampa came to mind, amongst many others, then I remembered it was 32 years ago today since he died. Enjoyed the trip down memory lane, happy times and sad times. A day of mixed emotions.
