It's not only people God invites us to look out for, but the whole of his creation. Today's task is, like the others that have gone before, it's not onerous but it is symbolic. Plant something in your garden or in a pot and care for it as God cares for you.
and if one plant isn't enough and you want to do your bit to save the rainforest why not check out http://frog.rainforestsos.org/

Ferintosh Church, Conon Bridge, is having an "Afternoon" to begin celebrating our centenary. Guess what? There will be a great plant stall and I will be able to fulfil the challenge--part one. Not so sure about part two in caring for the plant. They usually die off on me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic challenge. Let's get to it folks.
ReplyDeleteWhile I was out for lunch two kind visitors did the planting up of all my pots! What a treat. I will try hard to do all the caring. Big challenge as I don't think I'll make nearly as good a job of it as God does!! You've heard of Guardian Angels...... these two ladies are my Garden Angels.
ReplyDeleteat my mothers funeral in november the minister invited us to take some bulbs from a bowl she had on the communion table. we were to go home & plant them & in the spring & hopefully for many years to come we'll have a living reminder of her and also of the way the Lord provides and cares for us and all things living & growing.
ReplyDeleteWell, I went to the garden centre yesterday and bought plants for small hanging pots to go up on my fenceposts - and bought some more plants for another planter. so hopefully the garden will be very colourful later on. I'll try to care for the plants, even if they (and we!) need a helping hand from God. What a super idea this blog is, just picked it up last week, but I am trying to fulfil some of your requests.
ReplyDeleteI planted all my pots, with the help from my Mam! And will try so hard to keep them alive this year!
