These challenges will be a mixture of simple activities and Bible readings - our faith infecting what we think, say and do.
For today: Buy your favourite chocolate bar.... and then give it to someone else. And think of God's generosity. Blessings upon you.

Day 1 - challenge successfully completed! Bought a bar of "Heaven" and gave it to a Polish man playing the accordion in the High Street in Perth - he was "well chuffed"! I felt good too! Thanks Susan. Looking forward to tomorrow's challenge......
ReplyDeleteThis morning I got up early and walked down to the North Door of the Cathedral in eager anticipation...... I followed your instructions, went to the papershop, bought my paper as usual and also a bar of chocolate as instructed. I walked home and went in to see a neighbour and gave her the chocolate bar! Much appreciated! I have a feeling this may well be just as thought provoking and inspirational as all of your special lenten experiences, Holy Week and Easter.

one given to the assistant who served me - she wasa bit taken aback but smiled as I paid
one to my cousin who is unfailingly generous to me and one to my husband who offered to share......didn't know if that was in the spirit of the challenge so I didn't partake

That is funny - my heart lept and my mouth watered when I read the challange BUT then it fell again. Give the chocalate away, aw, dash. I dun whqt you said. That made me think ok.
ReplyDeleteI bough my hubby and wee boy a bar of chocolate each, and okay I bought one for myself too, but thought I would have been allowed that after buying two extra!! It was a delight to see my two boys faces!!
