Hopefully making someone else's day yesterday, made them and you feel good and reminded you of God's generosity. Now for a little time for yourself. Today's challenge is this: switch off the television and the radio and sit down to enjoy the silence. I'm not sure we listen to the world around us as often as we might - bathe in the warmth and depth of that silence.

I'm really enjoying today's challenge. It's amazing what you can hear when you actually open your ears and listen. Never before have I noticed so many different types of birdsong!
