The power Jesus showed in calming the storm, is a power he uses to forgive. Today's challenge is to believe that and to do this: forgive yourself. Start again. Right now.
This is a new day - let yourself off the hook and enjoy it! Leave the past in the past and whether it's starting that diet again, pushing aside that drink, letting go of mistakes or relationships, old scores, grudges or hurts, do it.
You now have a blank sheet.

Notice that your day starts quite early---must take a leaf out of that book and push aside the covers as well as that drink.
ReplyDeleteHard enough to forgive myself, but how do I train myself into forgiving others?
ReplyDeletebig question - sometimes we can't forgive others, the hurt goes too deep. What we can do though, is hand over that hurt to someone who's shoulders are broader than ours and leave it with Him. Carrying everything ourselves can lead to even more of our lives becoming painful - like secondary infections...
ReplyDeleteGod is the arnica that soothes the bruises and eventually brings about healing. We can't always forgive, but we can let go and let God deal with things...
