The sixth day already! I wonder how many are still rising to these challenges and how many have already given up?!
In the faith that there might be someone still tuning in: a new task for you today and it's this: see how many people you can say "How are you?" to and actually wait for their reply.
Too many of us seem to be in too much of a hurry these days to give people even just a few minutes of our time. Don't rush on past today. Stop, talk and listen.

Doing the Christian Aid collection gave me a goodly number of opportunities to say "How are you?" It also helped me to catch up with people I haven't seen for a long time and hear how they are. Mind you most folk just say "Fine thanks" as they don't like being seen as moaners. Perhaps my late father-in-law's reply, "Miserable thank God" is the easiest way, as it says lots without saying anything!
ReplyDeleteof course we are still rising to thesse daily challenges. Enjoying them immensely. Eager now for tomorrow's one. Thanks for these 6.

ReplyDeleteI smile and say how are you to everyone that comes in our office, I can tell you that even the grumpiest of folk that come in (and we get a few!) seem to cheer up when you ask them how they are!! A great choice of words! x
